My client, an employee-owned water and environmental consultancy established in 2004, specializes in a range of services focused on the water environment.

Job Description

As a Graduate Consultant or Consultant in our Cardiff office, you'll tackle technical work, manage projects, and find opportunities for personal development.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Objectives:

  • Undertake hydraulic and hydrological modelling using software such as Tuflow, Flood Modeller, HecRas, WINFAP, ReFH2, and Causeway Flow.
  • Support hydrogeological and water quality assessments.
  • Conduct outline Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) design for client planning applications.
  • Participate in fieldwork, analysis, and report writing for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
  • Utilize GIS and CAD tools for mapping and model outputs.
  • Contribute to client reports, including leading smaller reports.
  • Manage training and development for professional chartership.

Project Management & Work Winning Objectives

  • Manage multiple projects ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
  • Progress to Project Manager for projects up to £5k in value within 6 months.
  • Lead client proposals up to £5k in value after 6 months.
  • Conduct market research to support the marketing plan.

Opportunities Beyond Year One

  • Participate in wider consultancy services.
  • Progress to Consultant or Senior Consultant roles.
  • Contribute to technical process improvement and software development.
  • Act as Project Manager on larger projects.
  • Lead higher value proposals and tactical marketing plans.
