Job Description
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure competitive prices
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimum stock
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to forecast future supply needs
- Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Assist in the preparation of procurement reports
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Procurement & Supply Chain team
A successful Junior Buyer should have:
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- The ability to make effective decisions under pressure
- A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills
- Knowledge of the Life Science industry would be advantageous
- A competitive salary ranging from £25,000 to £28,000 per year
