We have an exciting opportunity in the University Library for someone to join us as an Archivist in our Special Collections, Heritage and Archives Team (SCHA) for someone looking to use their skills to support all aspects of archive collections management within an active department.
You will support acquisitions, catalogue, and preserve archives in all formats according to SCHA procedures, international standards, best practice and legislation.
You will use your practical experience of digitisation projects to focus on managing the digitisation of collections, including creating metadata and developing procedures.
We are seeking candidates with a recognised professional qualification in archives and records management accredited by the Archives & Records Association, UK & Ireland or have equivalent experience and have an understanding of the application of intellectual property and data protection legislation to archive collections and users.
