Position:

We are currently seeking an apprentice air freight operator to join our air freight department based in Stoke-On-Trent.

Main Duties

  • Dealing with all aspects of airfreight imports from worldwide origins.
  • Providing a high level of customer service throughout the import process.
  • Liaising with customers, airlines, and overseas agents.
  • Collating documentation for customs clearance.
  • Completion of customs entries.
  • Arranging deliveries.
  • Dealing with any queries.
  • Keeping customers informed with the status of their shipments.
  • Quotations.
  • Updating the company in-house system.
  • Administration and invoicing.
  • Handling occasional ocean imports.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday

09:00 till 17:30

1 hour lunch break

Requirements:

  • Experience of working within a customer service or administrative role.
  • Experience working in a logistics role is desirable but not essential.
  • Pass Grade in GCSE English & Maths or Equivalent.
  • Computer literate and able to learn how to use new systems effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Confident using Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Good attention to detail when handling data.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.

  • Salary £16,700 - £22,308 per annum.
