Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Required for our client to join them in their offices in Derby and Ipswich. The company that the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be working for are one of the UK's largest independent surfacing contractor, delivering projects nationwide for clients throughout the UK and working across a wide range of sectors.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will work alongside and support our dynamic Commercial team, and will benefit from working within a supportive learning environment ensuring their personal development and opportunity to progress.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

Salary: Up to £39k DOE

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, annual leave buy and sell scheme, and years' service entitlement increase.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

Making site visits to carry out inspections.

Prepare, maintain and process financial and project transactions.

Support the Commercial and Sales team with admin tasks and ad-hoc duties.

Analysis of project costs and preparation of monthly cost reports and commentary for any variance

Valuing completed work and applying for payments

Attend meetings onsite or elsewhere with the Site Teams, Clients, Suppliers and other parties as required

Use systems and processes, allowing effective measurement of commercial performance

Assist in provide accurate, real time, monthly reports (Cost Value Reconciliations) and final outcome forecasts

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

Fundamental experience is knowledge of highways or surfacing

Experience with commercial documents e.g., applications for payment, compensation events. Sub-contractor reviews and framework documents.

Experience working in a similar role.

Candidates need to be within a 1 hour commute.
