Description

As a Data Analyst at Zenergi, you will work as part of the Data Intelligence Team to help support the wider business to meet their reporting and data requirements. Working with the latest innovative technologies, you will work to design, build and maintain data applications, authoring BI reports and dashboards within areas of the business to ensure our colleagues and customers have all the information they need, in a form that is useful and understandable.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis

  • Taking full ownership of assigned projects and user requirements.
  • Development of Team Dashboards & Reports in PowerBI.
  • Design and build bespoke reports and tools in Excel ( for example SQL based & Power Query).
  • Management of Data available on our Customer Portal.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Working with in-house Developers to deliver data aspects of our systems.
  • Monitoring Data Integrity within our key Systems, providing feedback & prevention solutions.
  • Recording and updating of work on the Project Management System (Azure DevOps).

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Skills

  • High level of proficiency in SQL and Power BI.
  • Ability to write and modify Stored Procedures.
  • Ability to represent data visually.
  • Analyse user requirements.
  • Ability to analyse user-required requirements and build front-end BI reports.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.

Knowledge

  • GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computing or Software Development or similar would be desirable.
  • A full UK driving licence would be desirable as there may be an element of travel included.

Experience

  • 5 years of proven commercial experience with Power BI (M Query, DAX & Web Service).
  • 5 years of experience in development with SQL Server.
  • Previous experience working in a data analyst role.
  • Experience of working in the Utilities sector would be desirable.
  • Previous experience in Financial Reporting would be desirable.
