Clinical Fellow (FY2 + level) in Genitourinary Medicine - #720242

We a seeking a Clinical Fellow in Genitourinary Medicine.

This exciting opportunity is a new full time post in Genitourinary Medicine in Leicester Sexual Health commencing August 2024. This role will involve attending clinics in the two main sexual health hubs: Haymarket Health and Loughborough Health Centre

You will have the opportunity to gain experience of providing a wide range of genitourinary medicine services including:

• Investigation and management of suspected sexually transmitted infections
• Provision of PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV)
  
  

Clinical Duties

• Diagnosis, Treatment and contact tracing of sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
• Counselling on all aspects of STIs for patients and their partners/family members
• Sexual Health promotion
• Assessment for and management of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEPSE) for HIV infection and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
  
  

Midlands NHS Partnership University Foundation Trust (MPUFT) is an experienced provider of sexual health services delivering services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, Stoke and Staffordshire and Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.

We have designed our integrated service model around a life course approach illustrating the wide range of services and programmes offered by the service to support the delivery of universal, primary and secondary levels of care. The service model is based on a “Hub and Spoke” system supported by targeted outreach to vulnerable groups.
