Compliance Group

Date: 1 week ago
City: Oxford, England
Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per year
Contract type: Full time

We’re hiring a Credit Controller to join our team at Compliance Group. This role would suit those individuals who wish to work remotely but visit one of our group organisations twice a week.

At Compliance Group, we don’t just fill roles — we build careers. While some companies make vague promises about development, we back ours with structure, training, and clear progression routes. Whether your goal is to specialise, lead, or simply keep learning, we’ll support you every step of the way. If you're serious about growing in the water hygiene industry, we’re serious about helping you get there.

What you receive for joining us:

We’re offering a salary between £24,000 and £27,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a strong package designed to support you both in and out of work that we’re happy to tell you about.

Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Provide financial and administrative support to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders by ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial data in line with company policies and statutory reporting requirements. Prepare weekly bank reconciliations for both receipts and payments accounts, allocate daily bank receipts to customer accounts, and update the cashflow spreadsheet with daily transactions
  • Maintain debtor days below 50 by creating aged debt reports, chasing outstanding balances, handling customer queries promptly, and escalating overdue debts when necessary. Continuously manage debtor balances and upload invoices to customer finance portals where no direct contact is available
  • Assist with financial duties across both ARA and PH Water entities within the Water division. Actively contribute to continuous improvement processes and the achievement of wider business objectives
  • Represent the company professionally both internally and externally. Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy, maintain safe working practices, and report accidents or near misses in accordance with safety procedures

Can you show experience in some of these areas:

  • Strong academic background with some experience in finance and credit control. Competent in bank account reconciliations, with a good understanding of accounting principles and processes
  • Comfortable on the phone and possesses strong communication skills. A reliable team player with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Exceptional analytical and numerical abilities, high attention to detail, and a solid level of accounting expertise. Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • Positive attitude, quick to pick up new procedures, and adaptable to a challenging, fast-paced environment. Able to remain calm under pressure and committed to maintaining high standards

Do you see yourself reflected in the description above? If so, we encourage you to submit your application today. Uncertain whether your skills align perfectly? Don't hesitate to apply regardless; we value candidates with diverse skill sets and will carefully consider all applicants.
