We're looking for a motivated, skilled, and experienced volunteer to work with our digital team, helping to communicate our work and our impact to our network of supporters.

We are looking for a passionate and creative volunteer who is experienced in digital marketing, social media and communications who is capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

What will you be doing?

Operation Florian is a UK-based humanitarian charity that works to improve fire and rescue services in communities around the world. Our mission is to enhance firefighting, rescue, and emergency response capacity in communities affected by conflict, disaster, or a lack of infrastructure. We achieve this by working closely with local fire services, providing them with equipment and training that enables them to save lives and protect their communities. We are looking for a passionate and creative volunteer with skills in digital marketing, social media, and communications to help us raise awareness, engage supporters, and build partnerships. Your work will help us expand our reach, secure funding, and support more communities in need. Examples of work involved - Social media channel engagement and analytics - Photography and video editing - Newsletter drafting and analysis - Website content updates and analytics - Canva / designing promotional materials - Copywriting for blogs, case studies, and impact stories - SEO optimization - Identifying fundraising and awareness opportunities through digital channels We are looking for someone hands-on, with approximately 1-3 hours a week to spare (this is flexible and can be discussed). Knowledge of fire and rescue services, international development, or humanitarian work would be valuable but not essential. Sensitivity to ethical storytelling, imagery, and language is crucial. This position is fully remote, and successful candidates will be part of a friendly and welcoming team offering ongoing support to help them carry out their role effectively.
