Qualifications And Competences
- Option 1: Civil engineering, construction management or technical / project management undergraduate degree with 6 years of professional experience in the industry
- Option 2: No undergraduate degree, but 8 to 10 years of professional experience within the construction industry, e.g. as façade specialist or project manager focusing on SFS / drylining / curtain walling / windows or as building envelope specialist
- On this basis you have experience in reading design plans and may have previously worked for or with main and subcontractors in the Scottish market.
- Strong network with contractors, building envelope consultants and with trade associations such as CWCT / Passive House Community.
- Project-oriented mindset with the ability to understand and consult on the customer specifications.
- Proficient IT skills in the use of CRM systems and Microsoft Office, experienced in presenting with PowerPoint.
- Originally Scottish or having lived in Scotland for more than 5 years.
- Willingness to travel within the area (some overnight stays included).
As a Technical Sales Manager you will develop strategic relationships with building envelope consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and their design teams to influence specifications early in the project cycle. Your primary focus will be on façade solutions, helping window, drylining and SFS manufacturers or installers. Your main responsibility is to identify new projects and establish connections with key stakeholders to secure business. Leveraging your industry knowledge and networking flair, you sell high-standard SIGA products and services. Through CPDs, specification advisory and on-site toolbox talks, you will provide immediate technical advice and hands-on product training to our valuable customers. You will track leads and projects using CRM tools, support forecasting and budgeting, and contribute to pricing strategy through market insights. Attendance at trade shows, team meetings, and industry events is expected, helping boost brand visibility and industry presence. Through close coordination with internal teams you will ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Success in this role will be guided by meeting set key results, area development and fostering long-term customer relationships. Have we caught your attention?
