The OpportunityWe’re looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team three days a week in Birmingham. In this critical role, you’ll ensure our payroll operations run smoothly across our growing portfolio of brands. If you're a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing
- Accurately process end-to-end payroll across four weekly and monthly PAYE payrolls.
- Prepare and submit statutory documentation, including P11Ds, P45s, and P60s.
- Manage third-party payments (HMRC, pensions, court orders) and reconcile balances.
- Provide timely and professional responses to payroll queries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Support financial reconciliation and payroll audits.
- Work collaboratively with the wider finance and HR teams.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- High level of numeracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills — both written and verbal.
- A team player with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Confident liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience using Fourth Hospitality payroll software.
- Irish payroll processing experience is a bonus.
