Happy Days Nurseries is seeking a skilled FP&A Analyst to join our finance team and play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

What You Will Be Doing

As an FP&A Analyst, you will maintain and enhance our business intelligence database by consolidating data from various sources and ensuring its accuracy, integrity, and usability. You will proactively seek opportunities to improve data processes and analysis techniques while staying updated with advancements in data analytics tools and methodologies.

Your analytical expertise will be instrumental in conducting statistical analysis, identifying trends, and interpreting key performance metrics to generate actionable insights. You will provide detailed analysis of business drivers, translating complex data into clear and meaningful recommendations for stakeholders.

In addition to analysis, you will be responsible for designing and delivering compelling reports, dashboards, and visual presentations using tools like Excel and Power BI. You will prepare financial data for operational review and support budgeting and forecasting processes. Your ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences will be key to ensuring the organisation leverages data effectively

Who We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE). You will have proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar position, ideally within a finance team with regular and ad hoc reporting needs. Proficiency in SQL, data analysis tools, and data visualisation platforms such as Power BI or Tableau is essential. Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical thinking, excellent problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills will help you excel in this role. The ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively with teams, and maintain a strong understanding of data governance and compliance regulations is also important.

Desirable skills include experience in financial, statistical, or predictive modelling, previous exposure to the care sector or multi-site analytics, and an understanding of financial reporting and data reconciliation.
