We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to drive strategic business analysis for a major programme in the sports sector. This role will shape digital solutions that support key operational areas—such as athlete and competition management, fan engagement, marketing systems, and administration platforms.
You will work with stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to define requirements, analyze processes, support procurement activities, and lead improvements that enable smarter, more efficient sports operations.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to drive strategic business analysis for a major programme in the sports sector. This role will shape digital solutions that support key operational areas—such as athlete and competition management, fan engagement, marketing systems, and administration platforms.
You will work with stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to define requirements, analyze processes, support procurement activities, and lead improvements that enable smarter, more efficient sports operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business analysis across multiple systems within a sports-focused digital programme.
- Define and document requirements to support procurement and implementation of technology solutions.
- Shape product vision and backlog prioritization in collaboration with Product and Delivery teams.
- Identify business process improvements across departments such as competitions, membership, events, and marketing.
- Support delivery through Agile ceremonies and occasionally serve as Product Owner within Scrum teams.
- Coordinate work across internal and third-party Business Analysts to ensure standards and best practices are followed.
- Contribute to enterprise process modeling and strategic analysis, including business architecture documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to stakeholders across the sports organization.
- Proven experience as a Lead Business Analyst or Product Owner working with Agile teams.
- Strong requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and process analysis skills.
- Expertise in Agile delivery frameworks, particularly Scrum.
- Proficient in collaboration tools: JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Teams.
- Familiarity with UML and BPMN standards.
- ISEB Business Analysis certification or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Experience with marketing systems, customer data platforms, or fan engagement solutions.
- Experience in vendor selection and procurement processes.
- Technology experience within sports organizations, stadiums, or governing bodies.
- Knowledge of sports administration systems or competition/event management platforms.
- Experience with logical data modeling and database schema understanding.
