We are looking for an agile and proactive Content Lead with a positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit who can help us nurture this company culture.
This role reports directly to the Head of Marketing & Brand, based at our office in Didcot, Oxfordshire. We operate a hybrid working model: three or more days from the office, the remainder of the week from home.
JOB PURPOSE
As creator and curator of all stories about OKA, the position of Content Lead is an exciting opportunity for someone who is confident, curious, intelligent, professional and above all experienced and passionate about the brand. After collaborating on briefs with the channel managers, the Content Lead will steer our content creatives (both in-house and external teams) and oversee the production of content across all marketing communications and channels, bringing the brand to life through seasonal campaigns, product and lifestyle stories as well as OKA expertise. Engaging, relevant, share-worthy content will inspire, interest and reassure our current customers as well as excite and intrigue those new to the brand.
Working across our core marketing channels, you will support OKA to continually strengthen its brand awareness, digital presence and customer engagement through the creation of best-in-class editorial content and authentic partnerships. This role will own the strategic concepting and planning of all brand content (including copy, photography and videography), as well as lead and oversee a small team with a digital first approach. This position requires a proactive individual to drive OKA’s content strategy forward via idea generation and implementation, with an ability to balance commercial priorities with creative vision. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential to this role to ensure the most efficient output from cross-functional teams and partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and evolve OKA’s omni-channel content strategy to support brand and commercial priorities across the marketing calendar
- Lead the planning, briefing and production of all written and visual assets, ensuring consistency and brand recognition
- Define content purpose, pillars, audience and channel mix, considering the full customer journey. Use customer, product and market insights to create relevant and differentiated content
- Align seasonal, brand and commercial messaging to deliver the right content at the right time, in the right way
- Create and manage an editorial content plan with a customer-first mindset, feeding into and from the wider marketing calendar
- Oversee briefs and content delivery in collaboration with in-house studio, external creators and freelancers. Plan and attend shoots as needed, ensuring consistency across all visual output
- Work with the Communications Manager to develop partnerships that grow brand reach
- Own tone of voice guidelines, ensuring all written content meets quality and brand standards
- Provide content to social, web, email, print, press and retail teams, tailored to channel needs
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and other business leads to align content with strategic and commercial goals
- Implement efficient processes and timelines for smooth content production and sign-off
- Integrate and optimise SEO content to drive organic traffic
- Monitor performance and evolve strategies based on key KPIs, conducting regular audits and content gap analysis to refresh or retire where needed
- Manage budgets for content and influencer activity
- Support ESG goals through thoughtful content planning
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and attributes:
- 5+ years’ experience in content, ideally within a premium or luxury lifestyle brand.
- Proven ability to translate marketing strategy, data and insights into impactful, measurable content.
- Strong understanding of content formats, channels, and production lifecycles (copy, photography, video).
- Excellent writing, editing and cross-discipline storytelling skills. Deep
- knowledge of social content and influencer marketing, particularly within interiors and design.
- A creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative, customer-centric campaigns.
- Solid grasp of SEO and content’s role in driving traffic and conversion.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Collaborative and self-motivated, with experience managing people and working cross-functionally.
- Passionate about interiors, design and the OKA brand, with a solutions-focused, can-do mindset.
