A fantastic opportunity to join a professional team role combining hands-on experience in a busy salon environment. The skills learnt will give the successful candidate the skills and confidence to build a successful career in dog grooming. This position would be perfectly suited to someone who has left school with animal experience and now wants a career as a dog groomer.
Duties will include but not limited to;
- Welcoming customers to the salon
- washing and drying dogs
- trimming nails
- teeth cleaning
- grooming and trimming different styles for different breeds and coat types.

- Applicants MUST show a keen interest in working with dogs in their application to be considered
Desired Qualifications
- GCSE Grade 4/C maths and English or equivalent desired but not essential.
- Applicants MUST NOT already hold a level 2 of higher in dog grooming.
Future Progression
- Possibility for future employment for the right candidate should a position be available.
Training
- Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
- The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Dog Groomer Apprenticeship
- The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
- The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
Things to consider
- The applicant will ideally live within a 30 min commute to the Salon.
- KEITS Training Services Ltd reserves the right to close the vacancy earlier than the listed closing date should the need arise.

- The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.
