As an Equifax Model Performance Monitoring Analytics Lead you will play a pivotal role in the Model Governance function within Data and Analytics (D&A). You will deliver and manage Model Governance projects, including complex modelling monitoring and supporting ongoing validation assignments. You will provide consultancy and have engagement with key stakeholders such as Core and Client Analytics, Product, Compliance and Data Privacy. As a Model Performance Monitoring Analytics senior Consultant you will have expert knowledge of the way scorecards and models are built, having worked on a number of developments across several verticals. You will have the opportunity to manage analysts. Your Model performance monitoring outputs will be presented and reviewed at the Equifax Analytics Governance body the Analytics Council.
What you’ll do
Utilise subject matter expertise of data structures, analytics, algorithms/models, and strong computer science fundamentals to lead data preparation, analytics, and development of deployable solutions across multiple projects
Collect, analyse and interpret large data assets to define and build multiple innovative solution components leveraging business and technical expertise. Lead the analytical strategy on critical technical capabilities
Contribute to evaluation of new data sources, provide recommendations on value of data sources, and design code to improve the productivity of Equifax, enhance and update code where needed.
Perform as lead technical data scientist for multiple technical and business domains, collaborating with other teams to develop predictive models, risk assessments, fraud detection, recommendation engines, etc. encouraging enhanced solutions and asking questions
Able to analyse and prepare complex and new data sources and incorporate them into analytical solutions.
Package, summarise, visualise and perform storytelling on analytical findings and results for management and business users
Communicate results to senior management and external stakeholders, able to communicate the strategic impact of the work
Evaluate the technical work of experienced data scientists guiding them on deliverable quality and accuracy
Serve as SME consultant for COE / Business Unit / Regions, share best practices globally
What experience you need
Relevant numerical degree with a 2:1 or above
Hands-on experience in a credit risk / model development environment developing statistical models, with hands on detailed analytic & modelling expertise, ideally leveraging CRA data assets
Experience in scorecard monitoring
Experience in the use of credit bureau data
Experience in programming languages SAS, SQL and Python in a credit risk environment
Strong written and verbal communication and consulting skills, with the ability and confidence to present to business partners and senior management
Proficiency with Google suite or MS Office (docs/Word, sheets/Excel, slides/PowerPoint)
What could set you apart
Experience with model risk management and/or compliance
Expertise in scorecard validations within a given industry sector
Previous analytical consultancy in a big data environment
Exposure to machine learning techniques
Experience with data visualization tools.
Cloud experience using GCP or Amazon AWS
