• 10+ years of experience in organizational transformation and change management, with demonstrated success in large, complex organizations • 3+ years of experience in AWS, including direct experience with Amazon's cultural principles • Experience working directly with C-suite executives or Board members in advisory/consulting capacities at large enterprises • Proven track record of building and scaling organizational change programs from concept to execution, with measurable impact • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including ability to effectively convey complex concepts to executive audiences through written and verbal communication
We are seeking an Enterprise Strategist with a specific focus on leading the development, testing, and scaling of executive engagement and organisational transformation programmes with global impact. The team already has a number of these in progress such as 'Orgs Reimagined' (culture transformation starting at the executive level) and ‘Paved Pathways’ (realising business outcomes from migrations). The individual will use their lived experience, insights, Amazon experience, and credibility to establish and nurture executive relationships, and build broad executive trust to create buy-in and input for the programmes both within AWS and with customers. Key job responsibilities Executive Engagement - Serve as trusted advisor to C-level executives on organisational transformation and cloud-enabled cultural change - Provide thought leadership within AWS and to customers based on lived experiences, creating presentations and new workshop formats - Develop executive relationships through industry forums and AWS pursuits to identify needs and test approaches Change Management & Business Development - Identify strategic customer opportunities for organisational transformation programmes - Clearly articulate value propositions while customising solutions to specific customer needs - Test scaling mechanisms, including partner-led delivery models Programme Development - Lead evolution of experimental programmes like "Orgs Reimagined," refining methodologies based on customer feedback - Establish KPIs to measure programme effectiveness, using data-driven insights for continuous improvement - Develop strategic narratives to gain organisational buy-in - Document best practices and success stories to build a knowledge repository for future engagements Execution Excellence - Lead customer engagements with CXO sponsors, conducting executive interviews and guiding change efforts - Oversee successful delivery of transformation programs and transition to AWS Professional Services - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate organisational change capabilities into broader AWS customer strategies Thought Leadership - Represent AWS as an authority on culture and organizational transformation - Develop practical interventions focused on cloud-enabling cultural change - Scale impact through compelling content and mentorship of internal teams - Coach AWS teams on change management principles, building internal capabilities A day in the life Outside of this specific role's job, the incumbent will also perform a typical strategist role including: • Engaging 1:1 and 1:x with executive teams (typical C-Suite, Board of Directors, and C-1 levels) on topics of strategic importance to them including technology, organisation, and culture. • Developing and executing compelling keynotes to inspire and inform the same audience. • Developing scalable thought leadership material (books, blog posts, videos, etc) for executive audiences. • Ideating, testing, and scaling programmes through others, that can accelerate the executive journey to the cloud. • Field enablement activities to equip sales teams with tools and approaches to be more effective. • Engaging with analysts and press. • Bringing the voice of the customer back into AWS to influence programmes and approaches. - Experience scaling cloud computing programs, particularly in enterprise environments
- Track record implementing organizational transformation initiatives with large global companies
- Deep knowledge of cloud technologies and modern operating practices (Product, Agile, DevOps)
- Demonstrated thought leadership through publications or speaking engagements on organizational change
- Experience measuring business impact and applying transformation frameworks in practical settings
