Role Overview
Role Overview The project is a high-profile initiative to support the delivery of a major project within the sports and entertainment sector. The Digital Lead will be responsible for overseeing the digital strategy, information management, and IT solutions for the project This is a senior role in the project leadership. It requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with various teams to deliver innovative digital solutions that meet the project's objectives Role Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Engage with the client to understand their value expectations and ensure the digital solutions meet their needs.
- Digital Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of the digital strategy for the project, ensuring alignment with the overall Programme Execution Plan.
- Systems Architecture and Integration: Establish and manage the IT solutions to be used for the delivery of the project across all services, ensuring alignment between RLB UK IT, RLB Digital, and RLB UK Technical Services internally and with client, professional team and supply chain externally. This may include the configuration of existing systems, procurement of COTS solutions or commissioning the development of bespoke solutions. Where applicable this will include gaining client approval for system use/deployment. Establish and manage appropriate integrations between systems and data flow to support Programme processes, workflows and supporting outputs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to develop the digital and data strategy, technical platforms, and project progress. Understanding user journeys and development of workflows according to LEAN principles.
- Data Strategy: Drive the data strategy for the project, ensuring that the appropriate mechanisms and standards are in place to collect, manage and exploit data assets for the benefit of the client and RLB.
- AI Implementation: Oversee the implementation of AI solutions if they are adopted by the programme, ensuring the use of high-quality data and adherence to ethical and security standards in accordance with RLB’s governance structures.
- Cyber and Information Security: To develop standards for cyber and information security relating to the programme, ensure that all programme stakeholders are aware of their obligations and have the appropriate systems and controls in place to support compliance with them.
- Information Management: To work closely with the Information Management Lead assisting in the development of Programme information requirements, managing the delivery of Information Management services and ensuring that an appropriate Information architecture is in place to enable the professional team and supply chain to deliver against those requirements.
- Project Controls and Reporting: To work closely with the Project Controls Lead and PMO Lead to ensure that digital solutions are in place to support effective control of Cost, Risk and Schedule for the programme. To ensure that the delivery of timely and trusted appropriate management Intelligence to various audiences is enabled.
- KPI reports: to work closely with the PMO and CMO leads to develop and implement cost and schedule benchmarking solutions to measure performance and drive improvements.
- Information Technology: To work closely with RLB UK IT to ensure that the provision and use of IT systems (RLB, Client and Others) is secure, scalable, in line with established governance requirements and does not expose either RLB, Client or any other stakeholder to an unacceptable level of risk.

Candidate Profile This is a senior role in the project leadership. It requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with various teams to deliver innovative digital solutions that meet the project's objectives Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in project management and information management are desirable.
- Demonstrable / proven experience of digital delivery for large, multidisciplinary, complex projects/programmes with multiple stakeholders/supply chains.
Experience
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in digital and data strategy, information management, and IT solutions.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, including the development and implementation of project controls and PMO establishment.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, IT teams, and sub-consultants.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the project's objectives and deliver innovative digital solutions.
- Data Fluency: Strong understanding of data management and the ability to drive data-driven processes within the project.
