We value and recognise our own and the contribution of others, creating a great culture to work in and a place where we all feel we belong
You will be based in Dartington House, but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager
What We Offer
As an employer, we genuinely care about our employees’ wellbeing and this is reflected in the range of benefits that we offer including:
- An excellent contributory pension scheme
- 38 days annual leave
- A comprehensive range of childcare services
- Family leave schemes
- Cycle loan scheme
- Discounted bus travel and Season Ticket travel loans
- Membership to a variety of social and sports clubs
- The successful candidate will contribute to the management of our server estate; monitoring and maintaining server infrastructure and dealing with escalated third-line tasks and incidents.
- This is an opportunity to gain an insight into the tools and processes needed to manage a large, complex estate and to work alongside a senior technical team to grow your skills in Windows server administration.
- Although this post is advertised at Grade 7, we also welcome your application if you feel that you do not currently meet all the criteria but have the potential to do so given a suitable opportunity. In this case, we may offer the post initially at a lower grade (Grade 6) along with a development plan to move to Grade 7 over 12-24 months.
- You will have proven expertise in Microsoft systems administration, particularly Windows Server, and demonstrable interest in gaining an advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows server systems and Azure.
- We are looking for someone who has experience of writing and maintaining tools in a language such as PowerShell, a good understanding of TCP/IP networks, and an understanding of issues relating to system security, reliability and availability.
- You will have excellent communications skills, including the presentation of complex technical ideas, and the production of accurate written documentation.
