We are seeking to recruit a Postgraduate Research Operations and Methods@Manchester Administrative Assistant to support Methods@manchester Director and administrative activities in the Doctoral Academy in the Faculty of Humanities. The post holder will work under the direction of the Postgraduate Research Officer and closely with the Methods@Manchester Director.

The successful candidate should have experience of working in a team environment, with the ability to be flexible and provide support for colleagues, and be able to demonstrate a number of competencies including well developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise their workload to meet strict deadlines and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

We’re looking for someone who can develop and deliver our methods@manchester comms, is passionate about social media and is full of creative ideas to showcase our events.

The overall purpose of the role is:

  • To provide clerical and administrative support for key activities of Postgraduate Research (PGR) operations including PGR admissions, examinations and hub support (depending upon area assigned).
  • To deliver excellent service provision and support colleagues with continuous improvement, placing the student experience at the heart of what we do with support for a single Professional Services (PS) team working flexibly across organisational boundaries.
