Dad Matters Surrey has just completed a trial and now has some funding and a plan to expand across Surrey in 5 years. We are looking for someone with a desire to see the project succeed to be part of the steering group.

What difference will you make?

Dad Matters Surrey will add to the existing network of Dad Matters across the UK. The difference the projects have made is clear to see - 19499 Dads have engaged to date across the UK, 1307 supported since 2017, 7574 professionals trained as at 14.1.25. The impact of Dads receiving support in the early years of their child's life is invaluable and has a lasting impact. Outcomes and Impact

  • Reduced isolation and improved connections
  • Better access to services The existing Dad Matters service have recorded improved parental emotional health/well being greater involvement in their child's development reduction of isolation and the confidence to engage in more services. What are we looking for?

We are looking for members who have experience at senior strategic leadership levels with the ability to work well in a committee. The members need to have passion and commitment to supporting and enabling Dads in their roles. As the role involves been a member of a steering group with a plan for expansion over 5 years it is important that they have a minimum of 5 hours per week to commit.

What will you be doing?

We are looking to recruit new volunteer Dad Matters Surrey Steering Group members who, with their range of skills and experience, will help guide the direction and decision-making of Dad Matters Surrey. We are looking for two to three individuals with skills and passions to drive this project and improve the lives of the Dads we support, along with their children and families. You will be good at working with others, ready to speak up and ask questions, be thoughtful and open to learning, and able to stand back to see the bigger picture. You must take the responsibilities of the Steering Group and its members seriously.
