The Project Liaison Coordinator is a key role to support the effective delivery of a programme of projects in Wastewater. The role is to ensure operational and regulatory outputs are delivered to time, cost and quality requirements.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Encourage a systems approach for performance and risk management
- Ensure compliance with the required H&S standards
- Ensure the statutory regulations are achieved and maintained
- Attend collaborative planning across the project life, including inspection and acceptance meetings.
- Support sponsors with understanding Minimal Viable Product recommendations and understanding risks due to changes of scope throughout project lifecycle.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Water industry experience: 3yrs +
- A technical knowledge of Wastewater network and/or treatment assets and the associated operational, and maintenance requirements is essential to ensure delivery of lowest whole life cost solutions. Includes understanding of the principles of CSO, pumping station and/or wastewater treatment operation.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety standards, including Work Authorisation, Manual Handling & Confined Spaces.
- Detailed working knowledge and experience of Waste Water processes. Sufficient ‘breadth and depth’
- Possess a good understanding of the Water industry and its commercial and regulatory challenges, and the applicable statutory and mandatory regulations.
- Confidence, conviction and gravitas to influence decisions and enforce best-practices, through advice, council or facilitating services to others; sufficient ‘strength of character’ to ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are not compromised during the project lifecycle.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and finite resources to deliver business targets/objectives.
- Excellent planning and problem solving skills, with the ability to work on own initiative and meet time constraints.
- Capable of working in forums with representatives from other departments, companies and professional organisations.
- Experience of company policy, standards and procedures
- Understanding of IT systems and their capabilities.
Qualifications
- The role holder will hold or be trained to a BTEC Level 3 standard or equivalent in operating Wastewater assets.
- Full UK driving licence
