V.L.A.D. Outreach CIC is seeking a Voluntary Psychology Supervisor to provide clinical supervision, guidance, and mentorship to our team of volunteer trainee psychologists.

What are we looking for?
Required A relevant psychology qualification (e.g., MSc in Psychology or equivalent). Registered with a professional body such as the HCPC, BPS, or UKCP. Experience in providing psychological supervision or mentorship to junior professionals or volunteers. In-depth knowledge of therapeutic practices, mental health conditions, and psychological assessment tools. Strong communication skills and ability to offer constructive feedback. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of ethical and legal considerations in psychological practice. Personal Attributes Compassionate and empathetic with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges. Ability to work flexibly and manage a varied caseload. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proactive, solution-focused, and able to work with minimal supervision. What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities Clinical Supervision Provide regular, structured supervision to a team of trainee psychologists. Offer feedback, support, and direction regarding cases, therapy techniques, and ethical issues. Case Review Conduct case reviews with volunteers to ensure that clients receive appropriate and evidence-based care. Discuss any complex cases and assist in the development of treatment plans. Professional Standards Ensure that trainee psychologists are adhering to the ethical and professional standards of BPS. Provide guidance on ethical dilemmas, confidentiality, and safeguarding issues. Support & Mentorship Offer individual mentorship and professional development to volunteers, including guidance on career progression and additional areas of expertise. Monitoring & Reporting Assist the team in maintaining accurate records and client outcomes as part of our continuous improvement process. Provide feedback on volunteer performance and make recommendations for improvement where necessary. Collaboration Work closely with the Clinical Lead and other team members to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to client care.
