Marketing Manager (Level 6) – GOV.UK Apprenticeship Training
This opportunity is ideal for A-Level school leavers or those with an HNC seeking a career path that combines practical experience, salary, and a degree-level qualification – without university tuition fees.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the creation of promotional marketing materials – from aligning with business needs and reviewing concepts, to agency briefing, approvals/certification, and training/roll-out.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure all materials and assets are delivered on time, to a high standard.
- Collaborate with the Omnichannel Lead to tailor marketing content to customer preferences and insights.
- Assist in planning and executing training rollouts, including content creation, approval, and delivery.
- Lead and contribute to project management tasks including stakeholder coordination, tracking, reviews, and reporting.
- Responsibilities and activities will evolve over time as the needs of the business changes and as the apprentice evolves their learning.
- Experience: Some basic experience in marketing, communications, or customer-facing roles is helpful – but not essential.
- Soft skills: Proactive communicator, collaborative, organized, results-driven, and eager to learn.
- Technical skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, and tools like MS Teams, Zoom, Miro. Interest in digital platforms and agile/scrum methods is a plus.
- Education:
- 3 A-Levels: Minimum BBC (112 UCAS points), or
- BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma: DMM (112 UCAS points), or
- Access to HE: 9 Distinctions and 36 Merits, or
- Equivalent qualifications (worth at least 112 UCAS points).
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A–C or 4+ in reformed GCSEs), including Maths and English.
- Personal Characteristics: Growth mindset, accountable, logical thinker, action-oriented, empathetic, resilient, and agile.
- Languages: English (fluent, written and spoken).
