Lead Procurement Manager – Customer and Marketing (FTC 9-12 months)

The Procurement Team manage a significant proportion of the total easyJet external spend which in FY24 was £3.36 billion per annum, covering Customer, Operations (including Ground Handling), Commercial, Customer & Marketing, Business, Corporate, Finance, People, Fuel and IT functions. The Lead Procurement Manager for Customer and Marketing reports to the Senior Manager for Commercial and Corporate Procurement.
This exciting role is a huge opportunity for someone to join easyJet on a fixed-term basis and continue to build upon our team’s fantastic relationships with our Customer & Marketing function who bring our customer and brand vision to life with high energy and collaboration. Working very closely with our Chief Customer and Marketing Officer and their team, you will be allocated a portfolio of spend across all areas of the marketing and media ecosystem, as well as some other areas within the function. To deliver this, you will be required to complete spend and market analysis, stakeholder, and supplier engagement plans, lead full tender processes including template drafting both for existing contracts and renewals and new requirements, and support management of supplier relationships to ensure that easyJet receive best value from its expenditure. You will be a proactive and true business partner to the Customer & Marketing team, to provide all procurement support and advice necessary to achieve the businesses strategic objectives.

> Deliver best in class contract terms and act to minimise risk in easyJet supply base and delivery
> Improve supplier service and performance
> Improve the profile of procurement and engagement of the business
> Adherence to procurement policy and use of Supplier Management framework
> Reduce cost base for the allocated categories
> Proactive business partnering and category planning
What You Need To Do The Role
To do this role you will need marketing procurement and category management experience. We are looking for someone with demonstrable knowledge of amongst others, creative agencies, media planning and buying, brand and digital - and the ability to actively seek opportunities to drive value and cost savings from easyJet’s supply chain. You will be experienced at influencing a range of key internal stakeholders to support and buy in to chosen strategy and promote procurement. You need to be a strategic thinker with the aptitude to understand market dynamics & create innovative solutions / category plans – also understanding complex specifications and contract scopes, often in limited timescales. We’re looking for a self-starter, displaying determination and drive, with a tenacity to deliver to the bottom line with good business acumen with the capability to complete end to end robust competitive tender process. Understanding of revenue and how 3rd party contracts support the improvement of revenue including new revenue streams and ROI is an absolute must!
This exciting role requires someone who’s extremely proactive, with strong stakeholder management (Customer & Marketing’s right hand person) and can come in, hit the ground running and really make an impact.
