Shape the Financial Future of a High-Growth, Values-Driven Group

Green Barks Search is proud to be working with a new client, a fast-growing, privately owned group operating across two core divisions. With a reputation for quality, reliability, and ambition, the business is entering a new phase of expansion — and now seeks an on-site Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help lead that journey.

Based across four operational sites in Yorkshire, the group now employs over 260 people and is forecasting turnover of £50 million in the next 12 months. With strong foundations, loyal customers, and bold leadership, the business is targeting continued double-digit growth in the years ahead.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity in a fast-paced environment where agility, collaboration, and long-term thinking are embedded into the culture. As CFO, you will work alongside the Group Managing Director and shareholder team to define financial strategy, shape investment decisions, and build a high-performing finance function for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead group-wide financial planning, control, and reporting
  • Build and develop a commercially focused finance team
  • Optimise cash flow, working capital, and funding strategies
  • Support board-level decision-making with accurate forecasting and analysis
  • Partner closely with operational leaders to drive performance and margin improvement.

Who You Are:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualified experience
  • Proven experience as CFO or Finance Director in a complex, hands-on business
  • Excellent financial modelling, forecasting, and commercial decision support skills
  • Strong leadership qualities and a passion for team development
  • A confident communicator who can influence at Board level
  • Experience in industrial services, manufacturing or the built environment is essential.
