Commercial Management Accountant- 12 Months Fixed Term
Location: Uk Hybrid- 2 days a week in the office (Shirley)
Function: Strategy & Finance (S&F)
Reporting to: Commercial Finance Manager
Overview
We are seeking a 12 Month Fixed Term Commercial Management Accountant to support financial performance and reporting across our Linnaeus business units. This key role will ensure accurate financial data delivery for both internal stakeholders and external partners such as Mars and auditors.

Commercial Management Accountant- 12 Months Fixed Term

Overview
We are seeking a 12 Month Fixed Term Commercial Management Accountant to support financial performance and reporting across our Linnaeus business units. This key role will ensure accurate financial data delivery for both internal stakeholders and external partners such as Mars and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Unit Accounting
- Prepare periodic management accounts, including journal entries (payroll, prepayments, accruals, etc.) in Oracle.
- Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to drive efficiency and cost improvements.
- Help automate and enhance reporting processes.
- Manage Central Support budget in coordination with senior leaders.
- Lead variance analysis, budget reviews, and forecast updates.
- Support ad-hoc business case development and review.
- Deliver analysis and MI reporting as requested by the Commercial Finance Manager.
- Assist with year-end audit preparations.
- Contribute to finance process improvements and support wider finance team as needed.
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Experience in management accounting within a high-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload independently.
- Proactive mindset with a drive for efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Experience using Oracle or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
