Director of Practice & Clinical Services

Salary: Up to £85,000 DOE, Welcome Bonus up to £10,000, Relocation Allowance up to £8,000

Location: Maidenhead (multi-site role covering 4 branches including Cherry Tree Veterinary Practice)

Hall Place Vets in Maidenhead, part of the IVC Evidensia group, is seeking a visionary Director of Practice and Clinical Services to lead our team across 4 sites including the well-respected Cherry Tree Vet Practice. Our team currently includes:

13 Veterinary Surgeons (including 2 new graduates), 15 Registered Veterinary Nurses, plus 10 dedicated support staff.

We offer a varied and interesting caseload including, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic procedures, opportunities to develop ophthalmology, plus scope for candidates to introduce or expand niche clinical interests or specialisms.

About the Role:

As Director of Practice and Clinical Services, you’ll:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple practices.
• Support and guide the clinical teams, ensuring gold-standard care and client service.
• Champion a positive team culture, clinical excellence, and continuous development.
• Lead on business planning, financial performance, and compliance.
• Be a key part of the wider IVC Evidensia leadership community.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Acting as Lead Vet and fulfilling clinical duties while overseeing operational success.
• Creating and delivering an annual business plan in line with IVC Evidensia’s goals.
• Managing team performance, development, and engagement.
• Driving new client growth and nurturing existing client relationships.
• Ensuring regulatory, safety and clinical governance standards are met at all times.

Who We’re Looking For:

You must be an RCVS qualified and experienced veterinary surgeon, have demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical setting (multi-site preferred but not essential), strong commercial understanding and confidence managing budgets and business performance, excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, Passionate about high-quality care, people development, and positive culture.
