South Staffs Water is dedicated to delivering clean and reliable water supplies to approximately 1.7 million customers in the South Staffs and Cambridge regions. As a key player in the water sector, we are committed to providing world-class drinking water to over a million people across parts of Cambridgeshire and the West Midlands. It has nothing to do with sewers and sewage, leaving that to the likes of Anglian Water and Severn Trent Water.

About The Independent Challenge Group
The Independent Challenge Group is comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds who are enthusiastic about ensuring the Company receives different perspectives on its services and environmental impact. This group plays a vital role in challenging the Company's plans and supporting both customers and the environment.
Why Join?
Make a Difference: In the midst of a cost-of-living crisis and rising environmental expectations, this is your chance to shape the Company's future and witness the impact of your contributions.
Flexible Commitment: Meet quarterly for an afternoon, either via Zoom or face-to-face in Cambridge, Walsall, or a convenient location in between. Additional time commitment is optional.
Personal Development: Gain insight into the water and utilities sector, providing a valuable introduction to how companies and public services operate.
Expense Coverage: All expenses covered, and a tablet provided if needed for online meetings.
Induction Event: An optional induction event to meet fellow Challenge Group members and learn more about the Company and its plans.
Requirements
Passion and enthusiasm are essential; experience is not a prerequisite.
Time commitment: Four afternoons per year, with an option for additional involvement for those seeking more experience.
