Know Your Worth is a charity dedicated to supporting teenage girls to grow self-esteem, mainly through our 8-week course. Whilst our staff are based in Oxfordshire and Cheshire, we train others across the UK to run our Know Your Worth courses too.
What difference will you make?
Trustees are at the heart of this mission. As a treasurer trustee, you help shape the future of our charity. You bring your experience, insight, and care to help guide our strategy, hold us accountable to our values and financial commitments, and ensure our resources are used wisely. You will support the big picture—but also the small details that make change possible. We recognise the value in having a committed team that sit on the Know Your Worth board. Together we hold accountability for making sure the charity is governed well, and that we fulfil all the requirements of the charity commission.
What are we looking for?
We are specifically looking for someone with A passion for the cause of helping teenage girls to grow self-esteem Senior finance experience (10+ years). Previous treasurer experience on another board (ideally within the charity or non-profit sector). An ability to work as a team, courage to challenge constructively where appropriate, whilst being self-aware. An awareness of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship. Being available (within reason) to support the CEO with any financial queries or issues.
What will you be doing?
As we continue to grow and impact more girls we are keen to recruit a new treasurer. Due to our steady growth, we'd love someone to join the board with 10+ years in a senior finance role and past experience of being on a board. The role would include attending quarterly meetings online as well as leading a finance subgroup to ensure we are maintaining good financial practice and ensuring sustainability. It would require being available (within reason) to support the team with any financial queries, and be able to relay financial matters in a clear way.
