The Compleat Food Group is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Technical team at our Riverside Bakery site in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on all things QA, ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards of safety, legality, and quality.
About The Role
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee the site’s Quality Management System, lead internal audits, and play a key role in external inspections and customer communications. You’ll manage a dedicated QA team and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site to enhance product quality and compliance.

About The Role
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee the site’s Quality Management System, lead internal audits, and play a key role in external inspections and customer communications. You’ll manage a dedicated QA team and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site to enhance product quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the site’s Quality Management System in line with BRC, customer, and internal standards.
- Lead technical and quality improvement initiatives to reduce complaints and ensure consistent compliance.
- Ensure robust QA team structure and shift coverage.
- Conduct and coordinate internal audits (systems and GMP) with timely corrective actions.
- Investigate and manage customer complaints and site non-conformances.
- Lead external audits and customer visits, ensuring full audit readiness.
- Collaborate with suppliers and service providers on technical matters.
- Support product trials, validations, and ensure site hygiene and pest control standards are met.
- Proven experience in a technical/QA role within chilled food manufacturing (Essential)
- Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene (required)
- Level 4 HACCP
- Lead Auditor
- Strong knowledge of hygiene practices and chemical safety
- Leadership experience managing a QA team
- Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
