We have a new opportunity for a Site Trainer to join our brilliant HR team based in Clitheroe! Our Lancashire site is home to our centre of excellence for olives, antipasti, pickles and condiments.

Location: Clitheroe, BB7 1QD
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 – 17:00, Friday, 8:30 – 16:00 (some flexibility required to cover all shifts)
Salary: £28,000
Purpose
The Site Trainer is responsible for the coordination and delivery of training across both Clitheroe sites. The role supports compliance and continuous development while ensuring the training function contributes positively to operational efficiency and employee growth.

Purpose
The Site Trainer is responsible for the coordination and delivery of training across both Clitheroe sites. The role supports compliance and continuous development while ensuring the training function contributes positively to operational efficiency and employee growth.
Your Duties Will Include
- Conduct weekly induction sessions for all new starters.
- Ensure employees changing roles receive appropriate training within agreed timescales.
- Facilitate and support annual Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) training across all departments.
- Organise internal and external training courses, ensuring alignment with budget and business needs.
- Manage the e-learning platform and Learning Management System (LMS).
- Drive completion of the online induction for all employees.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Technical Teams to ensure content is compliant but operationally appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and training matrices for both sites.
- Ensure all training records are digitised and stored securely.
- Drive completion of required and refresher training across departments.
- Review and update course content and training materials regularly, ensuring effective document control.
- Support the transfer of training records to new systems and platforms as needed.
- Support departments in preparation for and during audits by ensuring training documentation is complete, compliant and available.
- Work with the SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Manager to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory training requirements.
- Work closely with HR to track training progress, produce reports, and identify skills gaps or development needs.
- Assist with HR & Training admin tasks.
- Previous experience in a training or admin role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficiency in creating training content and using e-learning platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external providers.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
- Awareness of diversity and commitment to non-discriminatory practices.
- GCSEs or equivalent including Mathematics and English.
- Train the Trainer qualification.
- Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training (desirable).
- Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene.
- Level 3 HACCP
