As an automotive painter, you will be responsible for auto body work and performing a variety of tasks to ensure flawless paint application and the creation of stunning car finishes. Your main responsibilities on the job will include:
- Surface preparation
- Mixing and colour matching
- Paint application
- Finishing and polishing
- Attention to detail
- Paint defect repair
- Experience in surface prep (cleaning, sanding, masking) for paint jobs.
- Skilled in paint mixing and colour matching using colour codes and systems.
- Proficient in applying primers, base coats, and clear coats with spray equipment.
- Ability to polish, buff, and correct paint imperfections for a smooth finish.
- Familiar with repairing minor defects like chips, scratches, and dents.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper equipment handling.
- Team player with good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience maintaining tools and accurate job records.
- Willingness to learn and stay current with industry techniques.
