This is an exciting opportunity for you to join and shape our dynamic and thriving Virtual School team as one of our Achievement Officers. This role may be of interest to those who work in education or social care settings, aspiring psychologists, those passionate about working for the benefit of children in vulnerable situations.
The Virtual School for Looked After Children has a statutory duty to ensure that Nottinghamshire’s looked after children achieve the very best educational outcomes they can. This challenging and rewarding post requires collaborative consultation with school teams, social workers, professional networks and young people. The Virtual School has extended duties to promote the education of children previously looked after, children with a social worker and children in kinship care. The Virtual School works closely alongside the Educational Psychology Service.
As part of the Virtual School you will be provided with extensive peer support and access to in-house CPD opportunities. You will be given regular support and supervision and be an active member of an evolving team.
