Job Description
The duties of the Setter Operator will be to manufacture engine components for super/hyper car manufacturers. Set & operate multiple CNC machines, Read and edit programs as required to perform operations. Conduct quality control checks using a variety of measurement equipment. Inspect and maintain machinery, tooling and equipment to ensure parts produced conform to specification and minimize production downtime.
The Role
Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical information and drawings. Experience using 5 Axis Milling Machines. Experience of Fanuc Controls. Ability to problem solve and see errors in NC code. Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of:

Monday - Thursday: 22:00 to 06:00

The Role
- Set and Operate CNC machines (MAM72, Hitachi Seiki and Matsuura).
- Manufacture/Modify Engine components to support internal and external engine development.
- Be able to use measuring equipment to ensure components meet customer requirements.
- Perform secondary manual operations such as Deburring, washing and fitting if required.
- Perform basic TPM on all equipment including cleaning and lubrication.
- Mentor and instruct Juniors & apprentices to perform manufacturing operations when required.
- Be committed to continuous improvement and suggest improvements regarding methods, processes, and tooling.
- Fulfil any other reasonable requirement consistent with departmental objectives.
- Work within departmental / company procedures.
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) & DNC Software (Seiki).
- Knowledge of tool measuring equipment such as Zoller.
- Basic numerical and computer skills.
- Change oriented and keen to promote forward thinking.
- Effective communicator both verbal and written.
- Committed and enthusiastic.
- Automotive/Aerospace engineering experience/background.
- Knowledge of machining engine components preferred (Heads, Blocks, Cams & Cranks, etc.)
