At GXO, in partnership with Greene King, we’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Driver’s Mates to join our team based in Runcorn (WA7 1YH).
This is a Monday to Friday role — a rare find in the logistics industry — giving you your weekends back. Shifts typically start from 5:00 am onwards.

- Supporting the driver with route navigation and ensuring timely, efficient deliveries
- Loading and unloading goods at various delivery points
- Verifying deliveries against Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and collecting customer signatures
- Acting as a banksman to guide vehicle movements when needed
- Communicating with customers face-to-face and via phone to provide excellent service
- Assisting at the depot with unloading and organizing empty containers
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to start early
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not essential
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility with shift patterns and working hours
- Awareness of health and safety practices in a transport or logistics environment
