Senior Support Assistant

Job Title: Senior Support Assistant Job Location: Belfast Salary: £20,868 - £24,511 Per Annum Contract Type: Permanent Do you want to help us to achieve our mission of supporting people in crisis? Every Refugee deserves to live with dignity. Could you play a key role in supporting refugees in your local area? You would carry out an administrative role for our Refugee Support Team who provide caring, safe, and empowering support to distressed people in vulnerable situations A day in the life of a Senior Support Assistant:

• You will provide administrative and operational support functions to the Refugee Support team in accordance with the needs of the team and corporate requirements.
• You will produce reports and updates on projects as required.
• You will analyse information and make appropriate decisions about action required.
• You will deal with external enquiries and carry out triage functions as appropriate in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures and safeguarding protocols.

What do you need to be a successful Senior Support Assistant?

• Do you have experience of working in an administrative role?
• Do you have experience of working with vulnerable people and an understanding of issues relating to asylum seekers, refugees and other vulnerable migrants?
• Do you have the ability to remain neutral and respect client's confidentiality?
• Do you have excellent organisational skills, able to plan and manage workloads efficiently.
• Are you IT literate, particularly with Microsoft Office packages?
• Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills?
