We are seeking an inspirational educator with the enthusiasm and ability to deliver collaborative, student-centred learning experiences, while drawing on a broad, cross-disciplinary knowledge base that encompasses fundamental engineering principles and technology, design, materials and manufacturing You will have a demonstrable track record of applying these skills to the successful delivery of project-based learning experiences, including proficiency with CAD and familiarity with practical workshop processes, equipment and tools With a philosophy of ‘knowledge applied’, courses in the School of Engineering and Built Environment place a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and all our engineering courses incorporate a significant portion of project-based learning at each level We also encourage students to develop as professional engineers through engagement with extra-curricular activities and entries into competitions such as Formula Student, Engineers Without Borders and the BMFA Payload Challenges The School of Engineering and Built Environment brings together engineering, construction and surveying, physics and the built environment.
