What will you be doing?

You will lead a team that will use a blend of renewable energy solutions and technical expertise to create a robust technical pre and post sales capability, identify new opportunities for the business in creating a best in class technical support function in pre and post sales activities.

Responsible for the Technical design and delivery for the Residential Division, you will manage the technical back-office team that supports New Build & Retrofit design of residential solutions. You will have the ownership of the MCS Umbrella scheme within the UK on behalf of Baxi and the development of residential sales propositions and solutions to meet our customer needs.


On a daily basis you’ll be responsible for:

•To establish and develop a technical back-office team including technical design, heat loss calculations, MCS compliance and management.

•To work with the Residential Portfolio Management team to ensure appropriate technical input is provided to Portfolio Management activities such as supplier relationships, NPD etc

•To work with external partners developing effective working relationships and partnerships to support the residential business.

•A key initiator and driver for product solutions and developments within the residential sector

•Input to the NPD process to ensure that field requirements are properly understood and accommodated

•To represent the business at appropriate industry forums.

•Develop and expand the current New Design service into an all-encompassing design service that can support New Build and Retrofit design within the residential sector and responsible for the MCS Umbrella Scheme in the UK

•Technical presence for Baxi Packaged Solutions into the Residential sector develop the technical design service on a product application level.

•Manage and develop team members to achieve their potential and create a high performing team

•Ownership of the MCS umbrella scheme in the UK, working with key stakeholders to provide relevant services to support the residential business

•Be instrumental in creating and executing strategies in conjunction with external sales teams and divisional leader to drive the market share of Baxi in this sector.

•Support UK Exec in execution of strategic plans


About you:

We want to make sure you’re set up for success in our mission. To be successful in your application you’ll need to;

•Ideally educated to HND/degree level in an engineering discipline

•Proven track record of technical competence within B2B manufacturing or construction industry

•Proven management experience at a senior level and an ability to apply technical knowledge in a commercial context

•An effective communicator at all levels with the ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders

•A team player, motivator and coach who can work with colleagues at all levels and across all functions.

•Experience of leading multi-disciplined teams

•Must be able to travel
