What will you be doing?
We're looking for tech-savvy volunteers to help us create a groundbreaking app that promotes sustainable living while reducing household expenses. If you can contribute your skills in back-end development, front-end design, project management, or database management to make a real impact on our planet's future, we’d love to hear from you. Our app is being designed to help individuals and communities reduce their expenses while living more sustainably. By providing practical advice and small, achievable changes, the app helps users cut household bills and reduce their carbon footprint. It will include features to encourage and reward engagement and friend referrals/sharing, including gamification. As a member of our new app development team, you will play a crucial role in creating a user-friendly and impactful app. Your tasks, around 6-8 hours a month, may include, depending on your skillsets, developing and/or maintaining the app's back-end and front-end, managing databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Join us in making a real impact on household carbon footprints and promoting sustainable living through innovative technology. Our Vision Develop features to encourage and reward continuing engagement and sharing, including gamification to enhance and maintain impact; Develop a dynamic web-app as a proof of concept, with migration to a mobile (Android/iPhone) app within 12 months; Enhance functionality through successive iterations as resources allow; Create an easy-to-use app aimed at appealing to those more concerned with saving money than sustainability.
