We need a stakeholder Fundraising Manager to help our global campaign to eliminate the root causes of religious conflicts & discrimination by enacting an ‘International Treaty to Ban the Political Abuse of Religion’.
What difference will you make?
As a volunteer Fundraising Manager, you will help BPUR International set global rules to protect all victims of religious oppression and discrimination worldwide. Our supporters, including many religious minority leaders, believe that this proposed treaty would be the ultimate tool to empower civil societies in their campaigns to enforce human rights values. We believe this proposed treaty will touch the lives of billions in every corner of the world, serving all international humanitarian objectives by eliminating the root causes of many conflicts and a long list of abuses of human rights. Subsequently, it would enhance stability and open the doors for sustainable development for countries worldwide.
What are we looking for?
A passionate believer in our cause to eliminate the root causes of religious conflicts and protect all victims of religious oppression. Someone who has an interest in networking with global high-profile public figures, philanthropists, politicians, celebrities and activists. Experience in fundraising and donor management. Knowledge of fundraising strategies and techniques, including the grant application process and partnership development. Good interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively. Budget management and financial acumen.
What will you be doing?
BPUR International aims to consolidate and affirm all international norms related to Human Rights with "a highly focused and more effective new international treaty to combat specifically all forms of discrimination on religious bases. This initiative follows an inclusive approach, grounded in the utmost respect for all religions and personal beliefs, to introduce clear, precise, comprehensive and irrefutable international rules to prevent ➔ all political uses of religion that undermine human equality, ➔ all religious discrimination in rights and duties, ➔ all religious exclusions, ➔ and all restrictions to freedom of religion or belief. This peace-making mission is on the international agenda with an imminent supporting resolution at the Council of Europe, and rapidly growing support in more than 80 countries and advanced engagements with more than 20 governments. As a volunteer fundraising manager for BPUR International, you will be Developing fundraising campaigns, including individual giving, organisational partnerships and grant applications. Engaging with our vast network of supporters from around the globe to cultivate their contribution to our global campaign. Researching, identifying, and applying for relevant grants from foundations, governmental agencies, and other sources. Identifying and engaging with potential partners, similar organisations, foundations and campaigns with aligned objectives. Planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns. Approaching influential politicians, legislators and public figures who can bring awareness to our cause.
