Fromefield Manor School is a new SEN school (opened 9/24) located in central Frome, Somerset and is a special school for up to 30 pupils, aged 11-19 who have a diagnosis of autism with associated complex needs. Aspris already operate 5 successful SEN schools in the area, and as a Teacher you will have the support and the expertise of our associated partner schools to ensure high quality, resourcing and training for all our new colleagues.
We are currently recruiting for an ambitious, passionate, and committed Assistant Headteacher to join our well-established team at Fromefield Manor School. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has previous experience within an SEN school, or qualified Teacher looking to take the next step in their career.

- Have successful teaching experience and hold UK QTS
- Be an Autism Specialist that is able to assist in developing and implementing the schools vision, values, ethos and curriculum
- Have a proven track record with leading and managing staff to oversee the day-to-day operations of a school site
- Quality assuring that personalised learning approaches are embedded by adapting teaching strategies where appropriate to get the best outcomes for our pupils
- Mentor, train and support staff through appropriate staff development and Continued Professional Development (CPD) opportunities
- Promote mental health and wellbeing initiatives across the school whilst promoting an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Ensure parental and community engagement by building strong relationships with parents/carers and offering support and guidance
- Assist in the whole school administrative and compliance processes relevant to aspects such as the Aspris Quality Assurance Standards (AQAS), Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and Independent School Standards (ISS)
- Be an outstanding creative practitioner with a genuine interest in cognitive behaviour and learning development in students with a diagnosis of ASD
- Show enthusiasm and eagerness to progress
- Have a detailed knowledge of teaching and learning and an ability to move the practice of others forward
- Demonstrate effective communication skills to connect successfully with parents and the wider community
