Job Description
Leonardo UK has seen significant growth over the past 3 years. With further growth planned ahead we are looking for someone to lead our UK Talent Attraction function. In this role you will lead the end-to-end recruitment function, delivering scalable hiring strategies, enhancing our employer brand, and ensuring we attract, engage, and retain top talent. You'll partner closely with senior leaders and the wider People team and manage a team of recruitment professionals to deliver our growth plans and help shape the future of our workforce. The role also forms part of the UK People Leadership Team to contribute to the wider People agenda across Leonardo.
This role can be based anywhere in the UK with a mixture of home working with regular travel to our UK locations.
What you’ll do as VP Talent Attraction
This role has overall accountability for the Talent Attraction strategy and delivery across professional external recruitment, internal recruitment, early careers recruitment and our contingent workforce, managed through an MSP. Key Responsibilities include

What you’ll do as VP Talent Attraction

- Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and support the recruitment team to achieve hiring targets and KPIs.
- Design and implement innovative sourcing strategies to build strong talent pipelines.
- Oversee employer branding initiatives to position Leonardo as an employer of choice.
- Optimise recruitment technology and processes for scalability and efficiency.
- Manage recruitment budgets and key supplier relationships.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the hiring process.
- Analyse and report on hiring metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Proven experience leading Talent Attraction/Recruitment teams within a Technical/Engineering organisation preferably within Aerospace & Defence.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Expertise in talent attraction strategy development and delivery across the recruitment lifecycle (Attraction, Screening/Selection, Onboarding)
- Familiarity with current and future recruitment technologies, including AI
- Data-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusive hiring practices.
- It would be favourable if you have previously managed an MSP arrangement
