Eaton's manufacturing plant in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire specialises in alarm, signal, control and notification equipment and is now looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their site team.

What You’ll Do
The manufacturing Process Engineer provides production with all the required program data for the blank production & late configuration in order for the production schedule to be maintained. Ensures programming enables timescale, sheet utilization and productivity targets to be fulfilled.
Responsibilities
- Collate production schedule data and prepare data for use in Radan Project software & Trumpf TruTops Cell Software.
- Program the work for both the 2D and 3D Laser machines in a timely fashion, making the best possible use of the raw material and fulfil the planned schedule.
- Maintain standard programming data, to ensure that all data is accurate, including that within RADAN.
- Produce laser symbols for product variants, to fulfil customer orders.
- Maintain Sheet Remnants, using them whenever required, to minimize material wastage and enable efficient throughput.
- Ensure SAP Data is maintained and updated accordingly.
- Operate closely with the fabrication team to maximize the efficiency of the laser cutting operations.
- Previous experience in a similar role in manufacturing environment
- Able to interpret information from customer drawings to create parts that meet customer expectations and internal standards
- Good technical ability of CNC machinery within an engineering / Sheet Metal manufacturing environment would be an advantage
- Good 2d/3d laser programming skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible and “can do” attitude to work
- Strong ability to plan & prioritise own workload, also demonstrating sound problem-solving abilities, organisation skills and keen attention to detail
