Your Responsibilities

To be responsible for the repair of Olympus Medical and Surgical endoscopes following approved repair processes and procedures on a stage of an assembly line style process.

Responsibilities

  • Product disassembly, refurbishment, repair, assembly, and testing processes depending on stage requirements in accordance to the Technical Services Global Guidelines and the relevant regulatory standards
  • Repair in line with method sheets and/or repair manuals, including other relevant processes and procedures
  • Adheres to health and safety requirements as determined by the risk assessment. Escalates Incidents, Near Misses and Identified Hazards
  • Responsible for the quality of the product for the designated stage of the repair, meeting the minimum target requirements, including inspection checks throughout the repair process.
  • Achieving customer satisfaction by working to the required productivity and quality requirement and in line with divisional goals
  • Use of specialist calibrated tooling and test equipment defined for the repair process
  • Adopts a continuous improvement mindset and works to relevant Lean and 6S expectations
  • Using service management and administration systems to record all relevant information for the repairs including the process times.
  • Following Shop Floor Management in your area by using the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle for repairs and support effective WIP (work in progress) management within the process.

Your qualification

  • Previous experience in a technical role
  • Knowledge of how to carry out tasks such mechanical/electrical and soldering, is advantageous
  • Good dexterity and experience working with small objects
  • Ability to read and understand method sheets with technical instructions and determine correct course of actions
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • High Attention to detail
  • Self motivated
  • Ability to work in an organised manner
  • Accountable to work on delicate/high value invasive medical equipment
  • Good computer literacy, including the use of email, and data entry
  • Team player and adopts a flexible approach where required to support WIP management
  • Use agility and integrity to adapt to changing situation with the workflow
