Catering Assistant (Seasonal)

As a Seasonal Catering Assistant, you will be an essential part of our Catering team, responsible for delivering outstanding hospitality and customer service.

We are looking for people that like to engage with our visitors and ensure their needs are met, join us in creating memorable experiences for our visitors during the busy catering season.
As a Catering Assistant, some of your duties will be:
- Taking visitor orders, operating the tills and taking payments.
- Serving hot and cold food and drinks to our visitors.
- Taking and making up ice-cream orders.
- Tidy and clean tables and visitor area, in the food barn plus catering outlets.
- Running food.
- Sweeping and cleaning the floor within the food barn and catering outlets.
- Barista trained, as will be making a multitude of hot drinks in the food barn, and catering outlets *However, full training will be given.
- Working in the zoo's gift shop and farm shop as and when required (both form part of the Catering & Retail team).
About you:
- Must be aged 16+ (due to Employment Law).
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Be a great team player, with a flexible can-do attitude.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure.
- Must be able to get to this rural location.
No experience is needed as full training will be given, all we ask for is a willingness to learn and a friendly, positive attitude.
Work pattern: Must be available to work during our busier periods, i.e., school holidays, week days, weekends available, all we ask is that you are flexible!
Salary: You will be paid the minimum wage for your age range.
