  • About the role

    What does our Head of Marketing do?

    Marketing and brand strategy:

      • Own MTM’s marketing strategy (in partnership with our Fractional Marketing Director) and execute on all marketing priorities.
      • Ideate and clearly articulate new strategic ideas, sell them in and put them into action.
      • Work with internal stakeholders to develop marketing plans for and successfully launch any new MTM capabilities or campaigns, through owned, earned and paid channels.
      • Ensure MTM’s brand, messaging, tone of voice and brand guidelines are being implemented across all materials and comms to communicate the right messaging to attract and retain clients.

    Project management and execution:

      • Produce clear project plans and manage campaigns and plans to timings and budget, ensuring efficient use of funds within budget.
      • Develop and execute internal and external marketing communication activity autonomously, including newsletters, sales enablement collateral, case studies, podcasts and awards submissions.
      • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and produce thought leadership and other types of content and design and execute effective distribution strategies and campaigns
      • Seek out, prioritise and implement all event opportunities including speakers/panellists, trade show sponsorship and presence, as well as owned events (in-person/webinar).
      • Manage all MTM social media channels and blog, liaising with internal teams to support and produce exciting, relevant and insightful content.
      • Liaise with external marketing partners (e.g. design, PR, copywriting, web, etc., as needed) to ensure consistent briefing, goal setting and project management.

    HubSpot ownership, growth marketing and reporting:

      • Own and manage HubSpot for all inbound and outbound growth marketing activities, creating nurture campaigns, managing lead scoring and distribution and liaising with HubSpot as needed, regarding new services or marketing modules.
      • Own reporting of key marketing performance metrics, including social media channel growth and engagement, new contact growth, site traffic, leads and other relevant KPIs. You’ll deliver monthly and quarterly reports, as well as post-campaign reports.
      • Attend MTM Board meetings to deliver quarterly Marketing updates.
      • Stay on top of new tools we should be using, eg Apollo.io, Jasper and other AI tools and recommend them into the business.

    Marketing & sales collaboration:

      • Partner with key stakeholders on within our account teams to ensure alignment and embedding a marketing mindset into the broader team, including leading frequent account meetings, upskilling account teams on social selling and offering HubSpot support on list creation or other related matters.
      • Weekly updates to the key account manager Board leads on progress against the annual Marketing plan and pan-account initiatives.
      • Build direct relationships with our ‘business development champs’ across the business and ensure all key account marketing activity is aligned to Key Account Plans.
  • What are the key things we’re looking for?

    Experience:

      • An ambitious, commercially-minded marketeer with 8-11 years’ experience across the various marketing communications disciplines in an in-house or agency role.
      • An interest (or experience) in market research, human behaviour and strategy, and a passion for staying ahead of industry and consumer trends.

    Qualities:

        • A highly motivated, self-starter.
        • The ability, enthusiasm and ‘can-do’ attitude to work effectively in a standalone marketing role.
        • A problem solver and creative thinker who can bring new ideas to the table and can put them into action.

    Skills:

      • A clear, effective and proactive communicator and relationship builder.
      • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and manage upwards.
      • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously (a task juggler), and the accountability to deliver on time and manage stakeholders, keeping them well informed on progress against deadlines.
      • Confident writing and proofreading skills for a variety of content needs from promotional, sales enablement, and PR to social media and engaging longer-form content.
      • Proficient in digital marketing strategies, including social media (paid LinkedIn and organic), email marketing (using HubSpot), and content marketing. SEO and SEM (nice to have).
      • Adept in using the Microsoft suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc, as well as the Google docs suite, HubSpot, AI tools and other useful Martech tools.
