Postgraduate Research Coordinator

We are seeking to recruit an experienced dynamic and proactive Postgraduate Research Coordinator to join the Doctoral Academy in the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE).
The main purpose of this role will be to co-ordinate the effective delivery of the Postgraduate Research Operations, work alongside senior colleagues, manage the work of the team, support academic, professional services and stakeholders to deliver a high standard of student experience and student focused customer service.
The post will be primarily support associated workload within the Postgraduate Research Experience team, with supervision of administrators and assistants. Areas include, but not limited to, Award competitions, Communications, Compliance and Regulatory practices, Conference and event management, Funding competitions, Induction event coordination, PGR experience surveys, PGR representative scheme.
The post holder should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience of supervising staff, able to use your own initiative, ability to manage busy workloads and prioritise to meet strict deadlines, be flexible and responsive, and share our commitment to support the Doctoral research community, at the heart of the University. You should have some knowledge and an understanding of the structures and processes within large complex organisations, ideally in Postgraduate Research support within an HE environment.
