Description

The DAC Beachcroft CSG Talent Attraction Team manages all levels of recruitment on behalf of the Firm. The Firm has continued to grow with the Talent Attraction Team filling over 400 vacancies in the last 12 months with the large majority of new starters joining on a remote basis.

We are looking to appoint a Talent Attraction Advisor to join the current team. Primarily responsible for supporting CSG, the Talent Attraction Advisor will provide comprehensive expert recruitment advice to the Firm to help identify, source and attract talented individuals predominately at the Early Talent Level. As a team we deliver a stakeholder-focused recruitment service with a strong emphasis on direct sourcing. In this position you will work closely with Managers, People Business Partners (PBP's), and the wider People/Business Services teams. In return you will get the opportunity to develop and broaden your own skills and experience whilst working with autonomy and within a supportive environment.

The team works remotely but there is required travel to the Birmingham and Newport (South Wales) office a few times each month for Assessment Centres and other events including Team Hub days and therefore we are particularly keen to hear from applicants in these areas.

What you will do?

  • Lead attraction and selection activity for CSG apprenticeship and paralegal roles, running assessment days, open days and working closely with stakeholders across the business to attract talent into the team.
  • Implement a CSG paralegal recruitment programme that promotes collaboration across teams and enables a better candidate experience by streamlining existing processes.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, advising on appropriate routes to market, candidate attraction, CV shortlisting and managing interview feedback. Advise and support at offer stage right through to on boarding
  • Work with Early Talent Development Advisor to evaluate the effectiveness of the Early Talent attraction, selection and development activity and provide input to continuously improve practices
  • Champion direct hiring through a variety of channels and creative sourcing strategies, such as social media, LinkedIn etc
  • Develop and nurture strategic relationships with stakeholders, PBP's and the wider People team
  • Build and grow comprehensive internal and external networks
  • Critically analyse the firm's approach to resourcing and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Take a leading role in the conception and delivery of recruitment projects
  • Effectively manage third party suppliers including pre-employment screening providers and advertising platforms
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current employment legislation and ensure that recruitment policies/procedures are updated in line with best practice and changes in legislation
  • Ensure that all recruitment is undertaken in line with the firms recruitment policies and procedures
  • Monitor and manage recruitment spend within allocated budgets and contribute to the annual budgeting process for recruitment
  • Manage the firms recruitment brand internally and externally, including managing the careers content on the DAC Beachcroft website

Who you are

  • Experience of working in an internal recruitment or early talent environment would be beneficial preferably with a focus on professional services or the wider legal sector
  • A passion for championing diversity in law and a creative approach to seeking new and innovative ways to enhance attraction activity and continuously improve the Early Talent candidate and employee experience
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels
  • High degree of written and oral communication with excellent presentation skills
  • Proactive and demonstrates initiative; willing to take ownership of tasks and projects
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively and deal calmly with deadlines and conflicting priorities
  • Good financial awareness with the ability to make sound commercial recruitment decisions
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about talent attraction and ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Team focussed with a willingness to work with and support others where needed
