Deputy MLRO

Location: Birmingham, Salary: £42,000 + (DOE)

Reporting to:

  • Head of Financial Crime Compliance & MLRO
Role Purpose – 2nd Line Transaction monitoring and investigation and other duties

  • Second line post transaction review to ensure transactions were correctly decisioned
with supporting documentation in line with the policies and procedures. Onward
remediation as required
  • AML dashboard analysis with investigations calling agents/customers as needed
  • Liaising with other team members in Dhaka
  • Reporting suspicious transactions to MLRO via SARS
  • Management and documentation of fraud issues advising the MLRO
  • Ownership and management of the complaints process advising the MLRO
  • Ownership and management of data subject related complaints process advising the
MLRO
  • Daily Safeguarding of client funds
  • Review of agent visit reports brought in by RM’s and making recommendations to
MLRO
  • Review of transactions from child accounts to spot suspicious deposit patterns with
onward escalation to the MLRO.
  • Other assignments as directed by MLRO
  • Preparation of various regulatory reports to the FCA including Gabriel, Complaints
report and Fraud report.
  • Secretary to the Risk and Audit Committee
  • Secretary to the Management Compliance Committee
  • Back up to the MLRO
  • Daily updating of sanctions list



Qualifications and requirements

  • Having relevant AML/CFT qualifications will be considered as an asset
  • Maintain an understanding of the requirements of FCA regulations and guidance
relating to financial crime.
  • To maintain understanding and expertise in AML Regulation
  • To maintain understanding of jurisdictional risk relating to financial crime
  • AML Certifications are a plus
  • + 5 years of experience in Compliance department in an Authorised Payment

Institution is also a plus.
